Frequent visitors to Niagara for many years, Debbie and her husband Mike decided to make Niagara-on-the-Lake their home in 2015.   Debbie loves the region for all it has to offer:  an active outdoor lifestyle, amazing scenery, wine-tasting experiences, fine and casual dining, history, theatre, and more.   She feels that riding a bike is truly the best way to experience this beautiful wine country.  A friendly and enthusiastic guide, Debbie is always thrilled to meet new people, reconnect with returning visitors, and of course, share Niagara-on-the-Lake with you!

As owner of Zoom Leisure, with his wife Rebecca, he’s a busy guy but loves to go out on our tours and talk with the other riders. Steve enjoys the area races and spends as much time as possible on the seat of his bike. He is a local in Niagara-on-the-Lake and can often be found riding along the Parkway with other roadies, or up the escarpment in the trails. He’s a graduate of business and hospitality with a passion for everything Niagara. He has loved running Zoom for the past 20 years.

Mark and his wife recently made their home in Niagara on the Lake arriving from the GTA. An avid outdoors person, Mark can be found riding or walking the trails, back roads or streets of Niagara looking for hidden gems and interesting facts. A long time supporter of the Niagara wine industry, Mark presents his guests with local success stories from the many vintners who are working hard to create a world class wine region. His tours are a blend of winery and historical information. His career in corporate sales and client services has made him dedicated to providing Zoom Leisure guests with a top notch, cycling experience. Born and raised in Montreal, Mark is fluently bilingual in French and English.

Kristen moved to the Niagara Region approximately 10 years ago, and fell in love with how much it had to offer.  As a full time teacher, she spends her summers training for Ironman Triathlons as an elite age group athlete. She considers herself extremely lucky to be able to train on the beautiful scenic roads in Niagara on the lake, and enjoys biking and running up the escarpment several times a week.  During her time outside of the classroom, Kristen leads several group rides in the area, and teaches a spin class at a local fitness club. She has also instructed ski and snowboard lessons during the winter months.   Kristen's favorite bike ride has to include a stop at some of Niagara on the Lake's up and coming craft breweries. She is huge fan of Silversmith's Black Lager, and can occasionally be seen filling up her growler on the way home from a tour!   When it comes to wine, she especially loves what the small boutique wineries have to offer. She keeps both the Pinot Grigio from Pondview Estate Winery and Cab Merlot from Lailey regularly stocked in her cabinet at home.   Kristen's passion for biking and exploring the wine region is something she loves to share with other people.  She sees each area of the wine region as different and having something unique to offer. Whether you're up for taking your time through the back country roads, or including a little bit of effort into your tour, Kristen would welcome the opportunity to share in that experience with you!

Michel is a relative newcomer to Niagara-on-the-Lake having moved here in 2007 after living in Nova Scotia for the past 17 years. Michel is not a newcomer to cycling, commuting to work in Ottawa, prior to moving to Nova Scotia, for many years. He renewed his love of cycling after moving here and discovered the many opportunities this region presents. He is recently retired and spent his career with the federal government, starting out as a young research chemist in the field of agricultural products and then moving on to manage a large food safety laboratory in Nova Scotia. This is his 6th year with ZOOM and he is looking forward to another great summer of cycling.

Jeffery Meyer

Jeffery is starting his third season leading tours at Zoom and is looking forward to the riding season. Jeffery has plenty of stories about local history and previously worked at Fort George, the national historic site in Niagara-on-the-Lake. As a lifelong resident of Southern Ontario, Jeffery also has a keen interest in ecology and wildlife in the area. Jeffery’s favourite wines are dry whites in the summer (Sauvignon Blanc) and maybe a red (Malbec) once the weather turns cooler and harvest season approaches. Jeffery also enjoys showing guests the new microbreweries in our region! After work, you will find him hiking on the Niagara Escarpment with his small family in tow, or refinishing antique furniture and knick-knacks. He also enjoys travelling via back roads and summer beach days.
